Ian Newberry's band, Smokey's Farmland Band, open for Willie Nelson in New Orleans, and Sam Bush in Atlanta

JamScene.TV...a pulse on America's Jam Scene

Ian Newberry has been playing professionally on the local scene in Atlanta, GA, since he was a young teenager. Local music enthusiasts would find him popping up on stages all around town and at popular music festivals, sharing the stage with major artists who appreciated his exceptional guitar talent and unique playing style.

Today, Ian is working hard to take his own band, Smokey's Farmland Band, to the next level. In one amazing stroke of brilliance, the band landed an opening slot October 14, 2010, for country/rock legend, Willie Nelson, at the House of Blues, New Orleans, LA.

Live Nation Promotions Assistant, Erick Greene provided the House of Blue's production sheet that night to share here.

The video here is Smokey's Farmland Band opening for another great music artist just one week later, Sam Bush, at Variety Playhouse, Atlanta, GA, October 21, 2010. Ian and the boys are definitely onto something and it's obvious their road to national fame has them cruising in the fast lane.

A New Brain For Arnie heating up the summer in Colorado Springs, CO

JamScene.TV...a pulse on America's Jam Scene

My favorite Colorado-based band, A New Brain For Arnie, had a great turnout for their recent date at Stargazers in Colorado Springs, CO (July 30, 2010). The band successfully surpassed turnout from their debut show at the 600-seat facility (back in May 2010)... by about 32%... excellent by any standard for this brand new band preparing for it's first Colorado state tour... which will include 5-7 dates, starting in October -- look for more info on those dates as they come available!

As the band gears up for this exciting next step in it's career, they're pumped to bring their 100% improvisational jam rock original music style to Denver, Pueblo, Fort Collins, Boulder, and other potential locations as the tour comes together. The band's leader, five-time Grammy Nominated, Kim Stone, says, "...we're planning our second CD release and a DVD performance video very soon!"
